New north Toronto plastics recycling plant set for spring opening

The facility will be capable of processing 25 million pounds per year of PET and 11 million pounds per year of PP/PE

Canada Fibers Ltd. is opening a new 160,000 sq.-foot plastics recycling plant this spring in north Toronto.

Called Urban Polymers, the new facility will focus on making pure, homogeneous plastic materials from post-consumer and post-industrial waste. The facility will be capable of processing 25 million pounds per year of PET and 11 million pounds per year of PP/PE.
